Daily Movement

Do you get the chance to move everyday? If you answered no, then challenge yourself to make it happen! So many benefits come from having some sort of activity each day and there are many different ways to get moving!

Go outside for a walk or a bike ride. If you’re at work, take a couple of minutes at lunch to stroll the parking lot or office area. Start choosing the stairs instead of the alternatives. Stand up and move when you’re sitting for a long period of time. Having some type of daily activity will boost your mood, relieve stress,  help with weight control, lower risks of disease, and provides a better nights sleep.

There are ways to make it easier to get started and stick with it. Grab a friend, co-worker, or a pet to join in on your movement of the day. Once you start make it part of your daily routine.

My daily movement always involves my furry friend, Kizer. We go on many walks a day or go play with other dogs at the park. Before I had a dog I rarely would just go for a walk to get moving. But after we rescued Kizer I haven’t had a day that I didn’t get some type of movement. He motivates the both of us to get moving everyday!
